“The Crazy Suicidal Widow” worn at the ‘Let’s Make a Ruckus Festival’ (Nov. 12) and in a photo shoot for “The Identity Project” (photocredit Emily Smith)
When incredibly upset, Messapotamia will turn out scary mary drag. The corpse of a widow who hung herself - only in her afterlife could she fully emit her negative emotions. The veil is a crinoline skirt, elegant black dress, random Nine West shoes, yarn for a noose. Minor detail: there is a mesh bow just beside the left shoulder.

The hay/running-through-a-meadow shoes have been re-purposed!
One shoe features high-impact tinsel and a functioning clock.
The other shoe is a hodgepodge of electrical cables, toe spacers, bells, string, and keys.

“Everything Sheer - West Side Story with a ‘fro” worn at the IndiGOGO Booster Party.
The top was bought at the little South-Southeast Asian boutique around the corner from my apartment in South Philly. Black crinoline skirt and nothing but a booty pop underneath! I could have vogued all night!
“Flower Girl” worn at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens Gala
This look is inspired by little wedding flower girls and little white faeries. The white tutu has large white roses and white carnations embedded throughout. The tank top is a recycled piece from “Forest Faery Fierce,” and the white pill-box hat is just the icing on the cake.
Garbage Monster worn in “Monster Mash GayBINGO!”
This fancy black tube-dress was given to me by Serendipity. It is worn like a garbage can lined with a white kitchen garbage bag. A large band of packaging paper came across one shoulder - garbage of all kinds (utilities bills, condoms, etc.) were stapled onto the packaging paper. The sleeve is ventilation tubing commonly used for dryer machines.
I think there’s also a baby doll tied up with a rope and slung around the back.
Salvia Diviniforum worn in “15 minutes of Fame GayBINGO!”
This outfit is inspired by Salvia D, a hallucinogenic drug that is often smoked in a pipe - the high lasts for a few minutes and from my experience can be both really nice and really awful.
Leaves of overgrown weeds on the street were picked days apart from one another so there would be a little variety in the texture and dryness of the faux Salvia.
The colorful bulbous thing on the bottom is meant to be evocative of a bowl, within which the drug is smoked.
A reversible corset was worn to tie in the bowl and also to juxtapose patterns. A silver shrug was worn sometimes… just for a little glimmer effect. A cloud of smoke was made by attaching pillow stuffing to wire hangers and a placemat.
